Kapture Photography is Western Australia's truly local School Photographer.
Our boutique style business offers schools a first class level of customer service with a flair for originality and personalised photographic products.
In 2008, Kim Harrison joined forces with Laura Ferguson to build the school division of Kapture Photography. Since then, Kapture has grown to become one of Western Australia’s most respected service providers with a solid reputation and dedicated team of industry professionals.
Our combined 36 years experience in the school photography industry makes Kapture the logical alternative for schools wishing to deal with the local knowledge and experience of a Western Australian owned and operated company.
Kim Harrison: Director/Photography Manager
“I began my career in school photography in 1985 as the Head of Media Services at St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls. There, I built an in-house school photographic service for school publications and taught Year 10 students as part of the school’s “Women in Technology” programme. In 1997 I attained the position of State Branch Manager of Western Australia for Australia’s largest school photography company at the time, photographing some 60,000 students per year. Although I have been photographing school children for longer than most people in our industry, I still get enormous pleasure from my work.
Laura Ferguson: Director/Operations Manager
“I love our business for many reasons - including the children and the laughs we get from them on a daily basis. There are two things that really drive me. First, the pleasure in building and maintaining quality relationships with our schools - and being greeted by name when you walk in through the school’s front door. And then there’s our product. We are creating completely unique products for each school, because each school has it’s own unique culture. I don’t believe you should get the same standard template as the school down the road.”
